Where can I buy tickets?
Registering your visit is mandatory. You can register your visit on our website.
What is the price of a ticket?
You can buy a ticket free of charge.
Can I buy tickets for multiple days?
It is mandatory to register for all days you visit the Tata Steel Chess Tournament.
You can register for all days you will visit the tournament in a single order.
Can I buy multiple tickets for one day?
Every person needs to register his/her visit individually. It is not possible to buy tickets for multiple persons in one order.
Can I buy a ticket at the playing venue?
Registering your visit at the playing venue is possible. Take into account the given day might be sold out.
Can I register without an e-mail account?
The tickets for your visit will be sent to you via e-mail. It is not possible to register without an e-mail adress.
Live Commentary
Where and when is the live commentary?
Live commentary takes place daily at Café de Zon in Wijk aan Zee. The commentary of the rounds start at 14:20, except for round 13, which will start at 12:20.

Other FAQ
From what time is the event accessible?
The venue opens its doors at noon, with the restaurant already open. Between 13.30-13.45 daily the playroom opens
Can I pay with cash at the hospitality or merchandise?
No, it's a completely cashless event.
Can my phone come into the playroom with me?
The phone should only be carried in a bag or pocket and on airplane mode.
I want to pay with my phone, but I am not allowed to use it in the playroom.
Use of the phone may result in disqualification as an amateur tournament participant, payments can be made by debit card.
How can I contact a confidant?
