Registrations for amateur tournament going fast

The registrations for the amateur tournament of the Tata Steel Chess Tournament are going fast! The weekend three-round event and the nine-round event are fully booked and there is a waiting list. For the weekday three-round event there is still room for registrations.

Registration for the amateur events during the 2022 Tata Steel Chess Tournament opened 1 November 2021, 09:00 CET. You can find more information at the ‘register’ button on this page. Please note that any information below might be subject to change.

All non-Dutch participants need a FIDE-ID to register. If you do not know yours, you can find it here: http://ratings.fide.com/ , by entering your full family name (if necessary beginning with de; la;  van der; etc., etc.). Dutch participants can also register with their KNSB ID. If you do not have such an ID, contact your Chess Federation to apply for it.

Please note: You may enter for only one event.

When you are not present on time your entry may be cancelled.  When you are delayed you can call +31 (0)251 37 45 41 (reception desk De Moriaan) or +31 (0)6 – 244 77 636  (tournament telephone).

UPDATE: Due to the current situation regarding COVID-19 in the Netherlands, the organisation of the Tata Steel Chess Tournament has decided to only allow online payments. This is to avoid crowds in and around De Moriaan. If the organisation or the national/regional government decides to cancel the amateur tournament, your money will be refunded.
