Pentala Harikrishna earned his GM title in 2001 at the age of 15, becoming a trailblazer in Indian chess. Known for his positional precision and strategic depth, Harikrishna has consistently performed at the highest level, with a peak rating of 2770 in December 2016. A former World Junior Champion (2004) and a key figure in India’s national team success at multiple Chess Olympiads, he has established himself as one of the sport’s elite players.
