Tata Steel Chess Tournament Round 13:

GM Sergey Karjakin, GM Praggnanandhaa R., and GM Jorden van Foreest, finished their 2022 Tata Steel Chess Tournament with wins in the final round on Sunday. GM Magnus Carlsen had already won the tournament with a round to spare and got a forfeit win, being paired against GM Daniil Dubov who left the tournament after round 10. GM Argun Erigaisi finished with a win and scored a splendid 10.5/13 in the Challengers group.

Tata Steel Chess Tournament Round 12:

GM Magnus Carlsen secured his eighth victory in Wijk aan Zee with a round to spare. The world champion defeated GM Fabiano Caruana on Saturday and now leads the 2022 Tata Steel Chess Tournament by a full point. He will earn a forfeit win tomorrow vs. GM Daniil Dubov, who cannot get back into the tournament despite a negative PCR test today. GM Arjun Erigaisi is also certain of victory in the Challengers, going into the final round with a 1.5-point lead.

Tata Steel Chess Tournament Round 11:

GM Magnus Carlsen continues to lead the 2022 Tata Steel Chess Tournament despite missing a win in his game with GM Vidit Gujrathi in round 11. GM Richard Rapport is half a point behind after getting a forfeit win vs. GM Daniil Dubov, who dropped out of the tournament because of a positive Covid test.

Tata Steel Chess Tournament Round 10:

GM Magnus Carlsen maintained his half-point lead at the 2022 Tata Steel Chess Tournamentwith three rounds to go. The world champion drew in just 20 minutes with GM Sergey Karjakinand then saw GM Anish Giri splitting the point with GM Jan-Krzysztof Duda as well. The round eventually saw four decisive games, including three wins for the black pieces.

Tata Steel Chess Tournament Round 9:

GM Magnus Carlsen defeated co-leader GM Shakhriyar Mamedyarov on Tuesday to regain the sole lead at the 2022 Tata Steel Chess Tournament. GM Anish Giri is the only player trailing the world champion by half a point after scoring his fourth full point in a row. GM Arjun Erigaisi also won again to push his performance rating over 2900.

Tata Steel Chess Tournament Round 8:

GM Magnus Carlsen and GM Shakhriyar Mamedyarov are tied for first place after eight rounds at the 2022 Tata Steel Chess Tournament and happen to be playing each other in the next round on Tuesday. GM Anish Giri and GM Vidit Gujrathi both won on Sunday and are half a point behind the leaders.

GM Magnus Carlsen won his second game in a row and is now the sole leader after seven rounds in the 2022 Tata Steel Chess Tournament. The world champion defeated GM Praggnanandhaa R. with the black pieces on Saturday.

Tata Steel Chess Tournament Round 6:

With a fairly smooth win vs. GM Richard Rapport, World Champion Magnus Carlsen joined the leaders in round six of the 2022 Tata Steel Chess Tournament. GM Fabiano Caruana had just equalized a tough position in time-trouble vs. GM Anish Giri when he tragically blundered a rook.

A lot of energy once more in round 5 of the #TataSteelChess Tournament! Rapport proved why he is in the top ten with a hard fought win, the Scandinavian delegation in the Masters started and ended the day with all smiles, while Shuvalova won with the only right move according to the engines! We certainly have a power woman among us!
